Good quality shoe
I own a very similar pair of Clarks Ashlands from fifteen years ago; it has held up nicely, is made with real leather. I bought this with some wariness, given the declining quality I saw in some of their other shoes lately. But this shoe is very much like my old Ashlands. They are well made, comfortable, true to size, and attractive. I love this style to slip on with a casual dress or pants; they dress up nicely. I don’t consider them casual enough for every day; they’re a bit nicer than all that. But if your every day outfit is office worthy, these are great for that. I don’t wear these with t-shirts, but this could work with a nicer pair of jeans.Bought a second pair in a different color because these were still of old-school quality. Good price, too.

Love these Clarks
I needed a comfortable, durable, closed-toe shoes to wear in my pottery studio—and these Clarks are great. I had been buying expensive Dansko Mary Jane clogs for this purpose, but after doing so annually for 15 years, they suddenly began falling apart in a matter of months. After losing 3 new pairs of Danskos in 8 months, I threw in the towel and looked for an alternative. I’ve been wearing these adorable Clarks regularly for 2 months now and get compliments all the time. They’re very comfortable, accommodate my extremely narrow feet (with the straps pulled as tight as possible), and I can easily sponge off the inevitable clay splatters. Even with heavy use, they look brand new. I got them on sale for $30 and am already planning on getting a back-up pair when they’re next on sale.

Nice looking and sturdy
Seem ok haven’t worn them much but have noticed they need breaking in. Definitely not too wide by any means and there is no room to wear anything knitted on your feet (unless they are very thin) comfortably when wearing them. I like that they look good with jeans as well as other casual skirts and pants.

Low heel, wide enough and pretty
I like these. I needed to replace my black dress shoes. They need to be flat or low heel and wide enough to not pressure my big toe knuckle. These are perfect. They are leather and should last well and I will be able to wear them with or without socks.

Worth every penny, even a year of heavy use later!
I love these shoes and recommend them to anyone with a wide foot at the ball and a slimmer back of the foot (like going into the acheles heal area). These shoes have maintained their shape and comfort. I bought these in june 2024 , brown leather, and it is now july 2025 and little has changed. That may be good or not for some of you. I was on the fence for a while about their stiffness. Now don’t get me wrong; they are comfortable right out of the box. I got a 7.5 wide and they are a perfect 7.5 wide. They are flexible, easy to slip on and off. They have a small velcro closure on a elastic tab that is not noticeable and does allow for me to make slight adjustments when my feet swell. But if you are looking for a great pair of shoes that you will breakin over time so that they just get softer and more stretched as time goes, then these are not for you. This is what I was actually looking for when i purchased them.In 2019 I got a pair of Clarks Haley Stork Sandals. At first I would wear them with nice dresses but over time they began to get more and more comfortable. Those were a 7.5 x-wide, navy colored suede, and over time my wide foot began to get a little loose in them, they began to have a slight fade of color and they just look like a very loved pair of shoes. But I still have them and still wear them. but now I wear them with jeans rather than nice dresses. So, my point in saying that is even though the general shape of the 2 shoes are very similar, both are Clarks, these have maintained their structural integrity and I do not see them getting looser with age like the Haley’s. I feel that these still look a little too nice to wear with my jeans, but they still look great with my nice dresses. They give good support, are lightweight, unfaded color, and even though I am not overly protective of them (I will run through rain puddles in them, walk in gravel, and such) they still look as good as when i got them. And one of the best things, about both actually, is that they let your foot breath while giving great protection, support and comfort, especially at the toes!I am in my mid-40s and lived in flip flops when I was younger. ut as I have aged, I don’t want to have to worry about the skin on my heels being overly dry and ashy and on display for everyone to see. But, I also live in south louisiana and don’t want to wear a closed shoe in the dead of summer. These are the perfect answer!

Need to be broken in first
I have more narrow feet, so keep that in mind. The top strap did feel a bit tight at first, but loosened enough right away.I walked around in my house for a couple hours, and the shoes seemed great. They look cute and seemed comfortable. So, I bought a second pair in another color and made the mistake of taking both pairs to an out of town conference, without bringing a back-up pair of shoes. I brought some bandaids for my heel as a preventaive against a bit of early chafing while breaking them in. That turned out to be insufficient after a day of travel/walking through airports, as they rubbed in more than one spot on the back and outsides of my heels. (I think it’s just been a long time since I bought real leather shoes, and I forgot the extent of breaking-in needed.)I had to buy more bandaids and just deal with them. I ended up just wearing the one pair to try and get them broken in. I will have to wait until my blisters fully heal to see whether the shoes are fully broken in enough to be comfortable. They seemed to be rubbing less as the week went on.

Great shoes!
Most comfortable shoes! I’ve had problems with plantar fasciitis and back pain. I can wear these for hours without any pain. My aches and pains are clearing up. I ordered another pair! I think they look nice. I have skinny heels, so I added stick-on heel pads to avoid heel slipping. I wish Clark’s would use softer soles with more traction, since we have snow and ice where I live. These would not be slip resistant for me.

Comfortable shoe support
True to size, most supportive shoe base compared to many other more expensive shoes.
