Took a few workouts to get used to, but now I love them
I have always worn cross training sneakers for weightlifting, but I haven been lifting at home (rather than at a gym) for the past three or so years. Where I have my home bench, rack, weights, etc., is carpeted. It was coming up on time for new shoes, but I haven’t been able to find anything I liked. I have very flat, wide feet and I have one particular shoe brand that I stick with. But they haven’t had any great shoes and a good price point over the last year.During a search around Black Friday, I randomly came across these shoes on Amazon and, based on the reviews and pricing, decided to give them a try. For gym shoes, I typically wear an 11 or 11.5 wide (2E). I measured using the info provided and ordered the size “11.5-12”. After first trying them on I knew I wanted to keep them. My first workout with them was chest/tri (so not deadlifts). I think I made them too tight because after a few minutes of lifting it started to hurt where my arch should be (I literally have no arch in my foot). I loosened up the hook/loop straps and they were good to go. Then I started feeling like maybe they were too tight and my big toe kept hitting a weird spot. I wore them for a second workout, bicep/shoulder (so again not deadlifts), and they were more comfortable, but I was still thinking I might need a bigger size. I also realize I had been trying to push my heel all the way back in them instead of just wearing them naturally, but that was part of the process of getting used to this kind of shoe. By my third workout, legs and back, I had the hook/loop straps figured out and I was just wearing them naturally. My big toe wasn’t hitting a weird spot anymore and I think the shoes loosened up a bit. Had a great leg workout, especially calves. I see why these are marketed as deadlifting shoes because I felt like I had a lot more feeling and control over all of my leg exercises (squats, deadlifts, calf raises). I also felt less pressure on my left knee which had previously been swelling after workouts. After that third workout I knew these shoes were good to go.They are definitely different than a cross trainer, and honestly I don’t know if I would want them if I were still going to an actual gym. They really are like wearing just a shell of a shoe, so I would worry about hitting my toes on weights or equipment. I also don’t like having to switch shoes or swap equipment during a workout, but some people love that. For my home use on carpeted floor with fairly decent weight (300+ bench and squat sets, 400+ deadlift sets) these are perfect. I don’t plan on going back to cross trainers. Highly recommended if you know you want this type of shoe or even if you just want to check them out and see if it’s worth it. Just note that it takes a few workouts to get used to them and break them in. I’m about three weeks into using them and I’m very happy I went with this shoe in the size I selected.

Not to worn when fleeing commitment
These shoes are not designed for running, jumping, or fleeing from commitment. No, instead they are designed for one glorious purpose: to anchor you to the floor of this planet, so you can move heavy weight. Some would say they scream ‘I want to lift heavy things, no cardio thanks!” But I can attest to their use while I was on the exercise bike, as I wear mine when riding. When my elderly mother asked me why they were so bright I replied “so if you come to the gym and I am riding the bike, or lifting. You can see me better and stay out of my way.” This was very straightforward like her, so I would say these are mother approved! I find during lifts my feet do not slip, the toe box is very generous, and I feel my bright yellow ones just ooze style, and versatility. Am I wearing them to they symphony??? Maybe! A great value for the money if you need a pair of flat lifting shoes. I have also squatted in these, and they were fine for me. I also squat barefoot or in those sticky yoga socks from time to time so ymmv.

Effective, solid quality, not for boney feet…
Effective at allowing great deadlifting, though for my feet they’re not as comfortable as hoped. Thin, light, VERY grippy, these are good though. Make sure to do all warmup sets with them on so you get used to rebalancing while lifting, otherwise you might stumble if you’re not expecting how low they place you to the ground.

For strength training
So I’m writing this review to help others decide to get or not, so I’ve ALWAYS worn cross trainers tennis shoes, either Nike or Reebok but in recent months I’ve switched from just cardio to strength training and HIIT and my legs and knees have been putting in a beating, I’ve tried to figure out if it was incorrect movement or my shoes, and come to find out through trial and error it was my shoe, now it may be different for someone else as we are all different but when I would wear my Adidas EQT flat cross trainers (no arch) I was not getting the pain and DOMS as much and felt like with my sumos and RDLs I needed something completely flat, I do have arch but I have really strong feet so I did my research and purchased these, I wear a women’s size 7.5 and have wide feet, I first bought the 6.5 but they wear too too tight and it compressed too much then next day bought the 7 and it’s a perfect fit with socks, now I could have gotten away with the 6.5 without socks but I don’t want to have stinky shoes so knew I had to go half a size up and it’s a perfect fit! In my living room I tried a sumo and leg squat and what a difference! I saw that in the gym I was moving forward too much and not getting good stability so I know these are just what I needed, im not sure how they’ll hold up in the long run but for 34 bucks it’s worth a shot, I hope this help others, they are nice too but most importantly I think this will help with balance and proper form, for reference I will be wearing these at the gym doing functional trainingUpdate: these are phenomenal weight training shoes I know they ain’t Nikes but they have been so good to me, im a couple months they broke in and are even better than new, you got break em in and they have helped so much weight training highly recommend!!! Really don’t understand the good reviews. Really bad quality and like a beach shoe not something sturdy to do weights in. Brought but sent back.

Me han gustado. Parecen poco resistentes y que se pueden despegar facilmente pero han aguantado bastante bien a pesar de que les he dado buen uso en 2 meses y medio. Vamos a ver cuanto mas aguantan

After reading other conflicting reviews I was nervous about sizing. I measured my feet and used the size chart, they fit perfectly. I would personally ignore your normal shoe size and go solely based on the chart. My feet are usually a women’s 7ish and I got a 7.5. If I had listened to reviews saying to size an entire size up they would have been significantly too loose. These feel sturdy but are incredibly light and have a lot of grip. They’re a bit like water shoes/practice dance shoes with more support and flatter, thicker soles. The yellow colour is just as vibrant as the image. Very happy with this purchase.
