Perfect fit, and high-quality, breathable fabric hoodie – perfect for summer sun protection
I got turned on to wearing hoodies for hikes and backpacking trips during a river trip on the Grand Canyon several years ago, when many of the guides were wearing them for sun protection.Even in the summer, I prefer to run and hike in long sleeves because I’m just done with continued damage to my skin. Hoodies are great for protecting the sides of your face and neck from the sun, which are easily forgotten when applying sunscreen. And, you can still wear a baseball-type hat with them, which is what I do.Honestly, I wish these had been around when I was backpacking back in my 30’s (25 years ago) and wearing tank tops, shorts and relying on sunscreen…which, quite frankly, doesn’t protect adequately against sun damage.Lightweight, breathable clothing is much better. I love the fabric of this shirt – it’s a textured knit weave that I can tell will breathe better than most of my existing hoodies, which are are a thin knit spandex type material. The fabric does not feel cheap like some really poor quality MiC clothing does.I ordered a size M, which fits true to size. It’s not tight or too loose, and the length is good and butt-covering if you wear it with leggings. It could also be front-tucked into whatever type bottoms you’re wearing and not be too bulky. The sleeves fit me perfectly, even with the thumbholes.If you wanted a more form-fitting top for running or cycling, going down a size would probably be perfect. I may order another in a size S just for that purpose.I ordered the purple-grey color, and it’s beautiful! It looks pretty much identical to the color shown for the product photo. I prefer pullover stretch hoodies to button-up shirts for pretty much any outdoor activity because they’re more comfortable and offer more sun protection…so, I may replace my remaining button-up hiking shirts with these.

All day wear without sunscreen
Omg, I love this hoodie! First of all, the price is absolute winner for a good quality and functionality product. I wear it all day for hiking, biking, swimming/snorkeling, paddle boards etc. Very flattering and stretchy. But most importantly, good material, lightweight and covers head and your hands!!! I hate putting sunscreen on my hands and the fact that this hoodie covers hands is amazing! When hood is on it covers your neck too.

It works if you don’t mind creases
I have it in various colors. First purchase in early 2024. I’ve worn this brand through 3 SoCal winters. I needed to layer a light vest in the 50s and a padded one in the 40s. I’ve worn this brand comfortably through 2 summers. The fabric breathes. The older ones still provided sun protection in 2025 and through this years’ winter heatwave.The shirt is really long. In my opinion, it is good as swimsuit cover, and perfect for camel toe issues with athletic pants.I wash cold and hang dry to better retain UPF coverage. The 2024 product creases took months to relax. To date, they are still visible, though not as bad.First photo shows 2026 purchase out of the bag. Second photo shows 2026 purchase cold washed and line dried. Third photo shows 2024 purchase still with some relaxed creases.

Perfect!
I bought this for a spring break vacation just in case I burned. I’m so glad I had it! It’s nice and light, cool on the skin. The arms are long but I have short arms. It didn’t bother me. The hood was also nice because my burn was on my back and the back of my neck so I could cover that too. I would definitely buy another one.

Excellent Quality
I love this so much! I got it for a hiking trip but wear it all the time. It was extremely comfortable during the hike and I love the sun protection feature. The blue color is very vibrant. I always get compliments when I wear this top. It looks much more expensive than it is. I plan to get it in other colors.I was concerned it would be baggy but the fit was perfect. I’m 5’5” and about 110-112 pounds & the XS is not baggy at all on me. It’s not form fitting but ideal for moving around exercising.

Fits perfectly and I love the material! I work outside so I need to cover my skin. I try not to use too much sunscreen so protective clothing is very important. Love this breathable fabric. Also, the hoodie is a plus!

Nice but fabric snags and is thick for a summer long sleeve shirt!
The material is thicker than I think a sun shirt would/should be. I bought it to wear under my rain jacket to keep the sleeves from sticking to me because I sweat in my jacket. I am going to roast no matter what I wear in the rain! The material snags my skin on my hands. I don’t like that. I do like that it has thumb holes to keep the sleeves in place to avoid a sunburn. And a hood to protect your neck from the sun. The color is a soft baby blue. Stay hydrated out there my friends!

I do field work in the summer and these are great for keeping me alive. I appreciate the neckline, hood and thumb holes.You don’t feel laden down by sweat and if there’s a bit of rain, you get drier faster, and into the cooler evening, you’re not shivering. You can wear them for long days.The material is a little bit thicker than I wanted but it’s worth it for the price. It keeps me from burning up in the sun and wicks excess moisture away from the body.I got it for both function and aesthetics as the logo is so muted and I don’t appreciate when logos on athletic or athleisure wear you wear for field work and then transition back into the office shout at the people around you. I appreciated athletic wear for work to be more muted.It fits well and I even wore it for my birthday bar-b-que! (If it passed that test, it can pass any.). It photographs well and looks more polished than many athletic or athleisure wear I’ve seen or used.
